Playing With Fire
You know children like to play with fire and matches. Sometimes my brother and I met some friends and we went to our cubby and tried to make a little fire.
One day when I was six or seven years old, I went to the toilet. I saw matches on the corner of the bath and thought I can make a little fire in our bathroom. I only need a bit of toilet paper, so I pulled down the toilet paper until it touched the floor, then I ignited the match and held it on the toilet paper.
Suddenly from one second to the next second my little fire was a big fire and I was shocked and didn’t know what to do and I looked at how big the fire was. Then I tried to turn on the water in the shower and put out the fire. It took a long time or maybe I just thought so to put out the fire but it worked. After it was done, I realized that the whole bathroom was full of water and that I could be very happy, nothing happened. Only the toilet paper holder was completely burnt black.
The first thing I did was clean or dry the floor in the bathroom. After I had done it I was looking for very colourful stickers and stuck the toilet paper holder full of them. I hoped my mum wouldn’t notice anything, but she did, when she came home from work. She could smell it.She called me and tried to teach me about matches and the fire and explained to me how dangerous it could be. I felt so sorry and started crying and my mum comforted me. I promised her I would never play with matches or fire again. She told me a bit later this evening she liked the stickers I put on the toilet paper holder.
I swear after this event I never played with fire again and I learnt so much about playing with fire.
